In 2019, entering the new decade with the 11th edition of the Fair, Art Jakarta will reach a new level, aiming to firmly establish Jakarta as one of Asia’s centers for contemporary art, as well as to strengthen Indonesia’s position as a leader for the development of contemporary art in Asia. Art Jakarta 2019 will present about 70 leading art galleries from within Indonesia and abroad. Special and large-scale on-site art installations by well-known artists for visitors to enjoy and appreciate. Presenting artist collectives and artist initiatives, offering not only many interesting artworks or art objects but also important information about their activities which are a cornerstone of Indonesia’s dynamic art scene.
